every dessert is a little love letter
I'm Arsheen Aman — pastry chef, dreamer, and the heart behind The Pink Basil. Trained at the Academy of Pastry & Culinary Arts, Mumbai, and refined at the iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Colaba, I fell hopelessly in love with the artistry of French pâtisserie.
What began in my home kitchen in Kolkata during the pandemic grew into two wonderful years of sweetness — and now, that same handcrafted magic lives in Kanpur. Everything is baked in small batches, to order, with the finest ingredients: real Belgian chocolate, seasonal fruit, fresh cream, and no shortcuts. Ever.

How do I place an order?
Simply message us on WhatsApp at 79805 57537 or DM @thepinkbasil on Instagram with what you'd love, your date, and any customisation. We'll confirm availability and take it from there.
How much notice do you need?
Everything is baked to order in small batches, so earlier is always better — a few days' notice is ideal, and more for custom celebration cakes. Message us and we'll always try our best for your date.
Do you make custom celebration cakes?
Yes — custom cakes are our favourite thing. Share your theme, colours and occasion and we'll design flavours and finishing around it. Assorted boxes and customisation are available depending on availability.
Where are you located? Do you deliver?
We're a home bakery in Kanpur. Pickup and delivery arrangements are coordinated over WhatsApp when you order.
Are seasonal flavours always available?
Strawberry, mango and berry creations follow the seasons — that's what keeps them tasting so alive. If a flavour is resting, we'll happily suggest what's most beautiful right now.
Can I order hampers or in bulk for events?
Absolutely — our luxe bowl hampers are made for gifting, dinner parties and festive tables. Prices may differ for bulk orders, and we're open to flavour suggestions depending on availability.
